Entry Description:

Last year my family, and my friends went camping together. We played games, went to the beach, swimming in the pool, ate smores by the camp fire, and went to sleep in a tent. It was the best camping trip and the best memory of 2020.

We stopped by Purple Sand Beach because we have never seen this colored sand before. We found purple sand, we found a lot of sand crabs, little seashells, flew a kite, and the water was a lot colder than in Southern California!

Entry Description:

This drawing is a memory of me and my dad biking through Zion National Park in 2020. It was raining when a beautiful rainbow and sunlight suddenly appeared. We had also decided to take a hike through the Lower Emerald Pools and as we sat down for a short break in the canyon, a large rock broke off the side of the mountain and crashed down into the pool right in front of us, the sound was like thunder. This is a memory I will always remember with my family during the pandemic.

Entry Description:

We celebrate a harvest festival, like Thanksgiving, every year by mid of January. It’s to thank all the elements behind a successful harvest. I enjoy celebrating it whenever I visit my parents’ native place in south India. We were planning to go this year as well, but our plans changed due to the pandemic. I imagined how we could have celebrated if we were able to make it there. In this picture, I decorated the pot, cow and the place and also offered the sugarcane and Pongal (which means to boil, overflow) to the nature.
