Entry 1

Abigail Bednar Artwork .jpg

Entry Description:

The picture I drew and painted for my entry was based off playing board games with my family each night of quarantine. My family and I had a lot of fun spending time together because we didn’t go anywhere during Covid. So, instead of that we played board games and watched movies every night as a family. My family is my mom, dad, bother, and me. We also have a dog!

Entry 2

Entry Description:

2020 was full of memories with my family. We spent so much more time together than we ever have. My dad and mom took us to the beach, where we saw the most beautiful sunset, and spent hours playing. This is my family, my memory of 2020, it was the year of being together.

Entry 3

Entry Description:

2020 was a year under the shadow of COVID-19. My family tried to stay safe and enjoy different activities as much as possible. A major family event was that my dad drove back from the east coast of Canada to the west coast of the U.S. for Christmas. I even got a new IPAD from him as a gift, which I took to different places to play Pokemon Go. Since we had to keep physical distance from people, we took the opportunity of getting closer to nature. We enjoyed skiing and hiking as a family.

Entry Description:

The theme that I decided to use was a "Family Memory from 2020". The year 2020 has changed a lot for everyone. A lot of bad things have come with it, but good things came too. Now I can spend more time with my family. In my drawing I showed one of my favorite memories, baking! My whole family decided to start baking together. When we work together we get a yummy delicious reward. I want to show how important family time is. When everyone comes together, there is so much warmth and love!

Entry 5

Entry Description:

My favorite memory of 2020 is when I went skiing in UT and I did a lot of new chairs. When COVID-19 happened I realized that I made the right decision to go on a lot of chairs since I would not be able to go on them until COVID-19 is over.

Entry 6

Entry Description:

My favorite memory of 2020 was rowing the SUP board on the wave-less ocean. It was exciting to jump and drag the board across, but rowing it got pretty scary. The wind and some waves from motorboats kept pushing me away from shore, and I trying to find a way back. That memory was a day I will never forget.

Entry 7

Entry Description:

Snow tubing was my favorite memory of 2020, when school closed down and we couldn’t meet friends. Instead, I got to spend a lot of time with my family and bonded more with my siblings. We got to go snow tubing with my family for the first time and it was very exciting and a special moment filled with laughter and smiles.

Entry Description

My family and I stared out the window at the monument Velley, “It looks like a volcano!” I exclaimed. “It is a plateau” my dad said. My mom snapped a picture. The sunset cascaded across the clouds. The two plateaus stood side by side. It looked like it could have been an arch from a long time ago, but only the two sides remained. I was glad they were there and so were all of us.

Entry 11

Entry Description:

My favorite 2020 memory was taking walks with my family. In December 2020 we got my first puppy. I named her Pixie Rose. I had to work really hard and prove I was responsible to get her. This is a picture of me, my brother, my dad, and my dog Pixie walking together. At the bottom, my mom is taking a picture of us. During the lockdown, we got really close together.
