Printmasters Inc is hosting this art contest to give back to our schools and community. At the end of the contest we will print a book that will be available for purchase. The exact number of entries that are included in the book will depend on the total number of entries received. Every entry will be considered for publication, but entering the contest does not guarantee a spot in the book. The current title is “The Artists of Los Al”, the exact title and details may change and are up to the discretion of Printmasters. A portion of all book sales will be donated to the mentioned organizations. Printmasters is approaching local businesses for donations, these donations will first go toward the contest winner prizes, any extra donations will be put toward the organization donations. These proceeds will be split and donated to: LAEF (Los Al Education Foundation), Casa Youth Shelter, and The Youth Center

This contest is intended for students in Los Alamitos, California. In order to be eligible to enter the students must either: be attending school in Los Alamitos, be a current student anywhere who is living in Los Alamitos, be a Los Alamitos high school graduate attending college anywhere, or be a college student living in Los Alamitos.

*If you have taken a short break from school because of COVID-19, but will be returning you ARE still eligible to enter!

Entries will only be accepted in digital form, so the size of the artwork should fit on a scanner. If you don’t have a scanner at home Printmasters will scan the artwork free of charge. Our scanners will fit up to 11x17, please no artwork larger than this. For book formatting, 8.5x11 is the ideal size. We will not be taking the original artwork.

All Entries must be submitted with an entry form, if a student is entering all 4 Art Topics then 4 entry forms must be submitted. Students can submit one art entry for each of the Art Topics. Each topic entry must be submitted by that specific topic’s due date, the dates are: Happy Place due 1.20.2021, Family Memory due 2.10.2021, Community due 3.3.2021, and Hobby due 3.24.2021.

Winners of each topic will be announced on our social media throughout the contest. We are aiming to have the Topic winners announced in roughly 10-14 days after the Topic’s due date, however this is not a guarantee. Winners are being evaluated by a panel of volunteer judges, not Printmaster staff. The timeframe of winners being chosen or announced may have to be adjusted based on the availability and schedule of the judges. The judges decisions are final.

By entering, the student, or a parent or guardian over 18, is giving Printmasters permission to use the Entry image/artwork and details from the signed Entry Form in the published book.
