SHOW A NEW SKILL / HOBBY OF 2020
Did you find a new and interesting way to spend your extra time during 2020? Let’s see it! Submissions should be 2 dimensional artwork illustrating the new skill or hobby.
Who Can Enter?
The contest is open to Students of Los Alamitos, California from Elementary school through College level. That means:
1) Students that currently attend a school in the Los Alamitos school system
2) Children who live in Los Alamitos but attend school outsides the Los Alamitos School system or are home schooled
3) Any current college student that graduated from Los Alamitos, even if they are living and studying in another area. And any college student currently living in Los Al
What Type Of Artwork Is Accepted?
We are accepting paintings and drawings. The exact type of paint or drawing medium is up to you, however is should be a hand created piece that is scannable.
How To Enter
Entries are ideally 8.5x11, no larger than 11x17. Scan your Artwork and your Entry Form at high quality (300dpi) in Jpeg or PDF format and email them to design@printmasterlosal.com
If you prefer, you can bring your Artwork and Entry Form to our location. We will scan and save all Art Contest entries free of charge. You can find us at: 10666 Los Alamitos Blvd, Los Alamitos, ca 90720.
We will not be taking original artwork
One entry per topic per student (every student is welcome to enter each topic, totally 4 qualified entries)
Each topic entry must be submitted by that specific topic’s due date (posted above)

Winners of each topic will be announced on our social media throughout the contest, follow us at:

The Prizes
All entries have the chance to be published in an upcoming book that will be titled “The Art Of Los Al” printed and published by Printmasters. The exact number of entries that are included in the book will depend on the total number of entries received. Every entry will be considered for publication.
4 GRAND PRIZE winners will be published on the inside and outside covers of the book and receive a prize worth $100. Of all the entries 1 GRAND PRIZE winner will be chosen from each grade level: Elementary, Middle, High School, and College
16 FIRST PLACE winners will receive a certificate, will be guaranteed to be published in the book, and get a prize worth $50. 1 FIRST PLACE winner will be chosen from each grade level (Elementary, Middle, High School, and College) for each of the 4 ART TOPIC listed above.
16 SECOND PLACE winners will receive a certificate, will be guaranteed to be published in the book, and get a prize worth $25. 1 SECOND PLACE winner will be chosen from each grade level (Elementary, Middle, High School, and College) for each of the 4 ART TOPIC listed above.
Prizes are being donated by local companies, each winner’s exact prize will vary. Winners are being evaluated by volunteer judges, NOT Printmasters’ staff.
